Challenging Situations for Professional Organizers
When a Professional Organizer enters a home, they may come across one of many challenging situations; such as severe hoarding, excessive or neglected animals, or they may suspect safety issues for an elderly occupant.
Join us as we learn more about animal safety; what is cause for concern, when we must report, and safety issues for Organizers pertaining to animals. Our speaker is Pat Burnett, Lead Investigator with the SPCA of Texas.
We will also learn more about the signs of potential safety concerns for the elderly, when outside agencies or services may need to be involved, in addition to information about local resources. Our speaker is Christian Clausen with CNC Home Care.
The Institute of Chronic Disorganization (ICD) - a resource for the public and Professional Organizers in the education of Chronic Disorganization and Hoarding, will have an information table hosted by our local ICD Ambassador, Terri Fulton. She will have information about educational courses, informative handouts, and membership. Be sure to visit her during our Welcome/Networking time before our program begins or after the meeting!
